We are excited to announce that the San Diego Chapter of Zero Waste Youth is looking for dedicated students and young people passionate about environmental conservation to join our team as interns for the upcoming Zero Waste Youth Convergence in April 2025.

As part of an international movement, Zero Waste Youth San Diego empowers students and young professionals to develop innovative solutions for a Zero Waste future, focusing on waste reduction, recycling, and composting. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain professional experience while making meaningful contributions to sustainability in your school and community.
Participants will collaborate to organize the Zero Waste Convergence, working within committees such as Communications & Marketing, Finance & Fundraising, Outreach & Advocacy, Programs, and Logistics. Each committee plays a critical role in shaping this event, from promoting Zero Waste solutions to securing partnerships and ensuring smooth operations on the day of the convergence. As part of this team, you will build valuable skills in leadership, project management, and teamwork, all while earning community service hours, a certificate of completion, and professional references.
We invite you to apply and become part of a dynamic, motivated group making strides toward environmental sustainability. The time commitment is 2-5 hours per week from September to April, with hybrid meetings.
